Academy of Hospitality & Tourism

What is the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism?

The Academy of Hospitality & Tourism (est. 1991) is a specialized learning community dedicated to helping students define their path for success while still in high school. Academy students go to the same classes together, learn about career opportunities in the Hospitality & Tourism industry, and attend many fun field trips and events (most at no cost to the student). Skills such as public speaking, presenting, team problem solving, entrepreneurship and innovation are emphasized in academy classes. Students make resumes, learn interview skills, get personalized college application help, and have industry mentors (hospitality/business/tech). Our graduates say that the best part of the academy, aside from the fun field trips, was that the academy really prepared them for college and their future careers.
