Below are some of the highlights of academics at Oak Grove High School.  Please click the links on the left side of the page for more detailed information.  

  • An average of 80% of students who graduate from Oak Grove enroll in college within a year after high school. (Class of 2012-2017, National Student Clearinghouse)
  • 4-Year Cohort: Students that come in as 9th graders and stay with our school for all 4 years experience higher graduation and A-G success rates.
  • 4-year Cohort Graduation Rate: 93.3% (Class of 2016)
  • We offer a Summer Bridge Program for incoming 8th graders
  • We have 4 academic counselors and 3 counseling interns
  • All of our 9th and 10th grade students take the Practice SAT exams at no cost to their families
  • All of our 11th grade students take the SAT exams at no cost to their families
  • We offer 3 academies: Aerospace Science — AFJROTC and Hospitality & Tourism
  • Our graduates attend notable colleges and universities throughout the country, such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Brown, and UCLA
  •  We offer AP classes in English, Math, Science, World Languages, Social Science, and Visual Arts
  • We offer college preparation through the AVID program
  • 3 teachers have participated in Yale University’s National Fellows Program
  • We offer free after school tutoring every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
