What is AVID

Simply, AVID prepares students for success in high school, college, and  a career. The program originated 35 years ago in Los Angeles County and, today, works around the world to help students move into college and  careers.

What Avid Does

AVID brings research-based strategies and curriculum to middle schools and high schools globally. The AVID  system annually provides more than 30,000 educators with trainings and methodologies that develop student's critical thinking, literacy, and math skills across all content areas, in we call School wide AVID.

How avid works

  • Teaches skills and behaviors for academic success.
  • Provides  intensive support with tutorials and strong student/teacher relationships.
  • Creates a positive peer group for students.
  • Develops a sense of hope for personal achievement gained through hard work,  collaboration ,and determination.
